Mari Boine's ninth solo album was recorded in South-Africa. In places you hear a bit of African impulses, but as usual it are her enormous force and personality that carry the music. The texts are in Sami and are also translated into English in the booklet. The subjects enclose the love and the tribute to nature, as well as a protest against the failing care of 'God, Our Father' towards innocent that are weighed down by this. The music varies from heavy and rough rock accompaniment to delightful almost silence. Tension and contrasts give the listening to the CD a nerve stimulating movement, in a very good way.
